Congratulations as we celebrate OTMs first full year as a chapter of FRVA, and what a year it has been! Six rallies in NC, one in TN and the GEAR Eastern Area-nine state rally in SC! OTM has grown from 7 members in 2024 to 36 members as of today! We want to welcome the newest members Mike & Jane, Stan, Archie & Leni, Diane, Rick & Chris, Randy & Marie, Thomas, and Walter & Sherry. We look forward to seeing you in 2025! FYI for the newer folks OTM has name tags and clothing with our logo if you are interested. No pressure, purchase or don’t it’s up to you.
November was the Eastern Area (GEAR) rally in Myrtle Beach SC. OTM had 11 members attend! What an awesome time we all had. Music, dancing, workshops, a Christmas show, Mike & Brenda’s chili, and Brian smoked pork butt and brisket that melted in your mouth, and don’t get us started on the sides for both meals and deserts! Wow, just WOW! BUT the best part was sharing meals, meeting new friends, and having campfires together!
A very special thanks to Jerry & Donna, Mike & Brenda, Stanley & Kelly, Ken & Patty, Jeff & Jenice, Tina & Brian, Mike, Timmy, David & Jill, and Keith as the OTM hosts for the Ice Cream Social at GEAR on Thursday November 6th. I’ve never seem20 pounds of ice cream along with chocolate and caramel sauce disappear so fast!
More exciting events happened at GEAR as Tina and Brian were voted into office as Eastern Area Secretary and Senior VP respectively. OTM is honored to have them as members and for their volunteerism as they serve the whole Eastern Area in these important positions!
A reminder to make your 2026 campground reservations as soon as you are able; please send an email to let me know which months you’ll be attending, that would be great!
Please try to make the June rally as we will be voting for the 2026-2028 officers, Patty, Ken and I are not stepping down, but if you are interested in a position let Timmy Schrag know as she is the chair of the nominating committee, along with Jeff and Jenice Hughes.
