Some of the Perry26 pre-planning has already been done. The Volunteer Handbook and the Perry Timeline are already posted in the Perry 2026 folder. I’ve asked Tim to post the Current Opportunities for Chapters and Volunteers also.
Some of the final planning is dependent upon a site visit to GNFR later this month to clarify what changes will be/have been made to the facilities. This information will be used to better define seminar locations and layouts – and most importantly inform a new volunteer area:
FRVA pilot tested a new team at Gillette and will continue to do so at Perry: The Grounds/Signs Setup Team (name still in transition)
This team will be headed by Allen Evans who led the team at Gillette. He has several Lieutenants identified who will help lead each team.
The teams will help with preconvention set up, and post-convention tear down. Exact details will be developed after the GNFR site visit.
Registration should open sometime in September. Remember to register early for the best opportunity to get the site (FHU, E, GEN, etc) that you want, the volunteer position that you want. NOTE that you get to pick only one. If you discover later another area you would like to serve you will need to contact the Events Department.
