Help! Somehow, my mail server got really screwed up, and for a period of time, I was unable to receive any emails. I’m afraid this may have resulted in my missing emails from some of you who might have signed up for the GEAR Myrtle Beach dinner. I also lost two years worth of updates to my Address Book, and I’m trying to recover from that also. The bottom line is that I’m not confident that I have a correct list of everybody who wants to come, so please take a look at the list below and, if you registered but are not on the list, let me know immediately at .
Alexander, Berkley & Karen – 2
Buelow, Jim & Susan – 2
Fowler, Dave & Jan – 2
Giffin, Jim & Shirley – 2
Greenwood, Wilt & Barbara – 2
Herbert, Ed & Jean – 2
Lowman, Dick & Bonnie – 2
Mandik, Lou & Carol – 2
Raye, Steve & Gilllian – 2
Weithofer, Bob & Pat – 2

Hi, all. First, an update on Gillette – hosts Harry and Sandy Hentschel attracted 43 diners to our Gourmands dinner at the Prime Rib, and we picked up at least four new couples as members. The Prime Rib always does a good job, and Harry and Sandy are getting so good at this that I keep trying to get them to host more events. Thanks, guys.
Our next upcoming event will be dinner in advance of this year’s GEAR rally, and since GEAR is in Myrtle Beach, we’re taking advantage of the excellent seafood for which the area is justly famous. We asked GEAR Rallymaster David Fowler, who lives there, for a recommendation, and he came up with Wahoo’s Fish House in Murrells Inlet. It looks perfect to us, and we think you’ll find it a pleasant change from our usual steakhouses. Here’s the info:
