Greetings, foodies – I know it’s a bit of a short notice, but I’ve finally been able to schedule a dinner for us at the Perry Convention. We’ll be at the same place we were the last time we were in Perry – Orleans on Carroll. As you may remember, it’s an upscale New-Orleans-themed restaurant (on, of all places, Carroll Street), featuring a variety of Cajun and Creole dishes, plus more standard fare if you aren’t adventurous.
Before I get into the details, let me state one more time that if any of you no longer want to receive these notices and want to resign from the Gourmands, just let me know. Just reply to this email with “Take me off your list”, and I’ll instantly comply.
That being said, here are the details on the dinner:
When: Monday, March 16 – Social hour at 5:00, dinner at 6:00. (Or thereabouts.)
What: We can order from the full menu, and you won’t have to pre-order – you can decide when you get there. They only ask that we don’t expect everyone to be served at the same time.
We will have a private room (upstairs), with small tables and separate checks. The menu is available on their website. Barbara and I will be your hosts, so if you want to attend, please just let us know by replying to this email. Please RSVP as soon as you can – we’d like to give the restaurant a hard number as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you there.
